With Croatian accession to EU, significant financial resources for implementation of projects became available from EU funds. In period 2014-2020 (seven year periods called financial perspectives, financial periods, programming period) there is 10,8 billions of EUR allocated to Republic of Croatia for project implementation as a part of cohesion, common agricultural and common fisheries policies.
Issues related to EU funds and EU financed projects are quite complex and this page containts only basic information. By the end of 2016 Republic of Croatia was entitled to spend financial resources allocated during previous financial perspective (IPA funds until 1.7.2013 and structural and Cohesion fund from 1.7.2013). In order to spend allocated funds, each member state is obligated to prepare programming documents - Partnership Agreement and (Operational) programme(s) and to establish suitable implementation framework (institutions and procedures).
